The Biomedical Imaging Center and Carle Illinois Advanced Imaging Center are requesting proposals for seed projects to help labs create new lines of research on all three field strengths (3 Tesla Prisma, 7 Tesla Terra.X and 9.4 Tesla Bruker).

These proposals will support small to medium sized studies to help develop new areas of research to establish pilot data for large-scale and collaborative grants.

Proposals will be evaluated based on the appropriateness for the field strength requested, likelihood of generating novel imaging technology and/or imaging-based science, stage of readiness to collect data and likelihood of leading to large-scale and collaborative grants.

  • 3 Tesla and 9.4 Tesla — Wednesday, June 24

  • 7 Tesla — Friday, July 31

• Award decisions are expected:

  • 3 Tesla and 9.4 Tesla — early July

  • 7 Tesla — mid-August
